ABOUT WU OI

AIMS

To help drug addicts, ex-prisoners, triad members, prostitutes and problem youth to return into our society through Christian drug rehabilitation.

HISTORY

Wu Oi was started as a Teahouse by Rev. Harold Schock and Johnson Ngai in 1973. The former is an American Baptist missionary and the latter an overcomer. They held Christian meetings for drug addicts in Chuk Yuen region in Wong Tai Sin. As many needs had to be met, God led them to expand their work and set up Wu Oi (which means mutual love). It was registered with the government as an inter-denominational and a non-profit-making Christian organization in 1976.
